OUR PROGRESSION
FIRST in Michigan operates a progression of programs which differs from FIRST national. Our progression enables students to build upon the skills and experiences attained at one level then flow naturally to the next level without overlap. This path culminates with FIRST‘s capstone high school program, FIRST Robotics Competition, where students are eligible for over $81 million in FIRST dedicated scholarships.

OUR STRATEGY
In 2009, FIRST in Michigan created a new model targeted for growth and team retention. We divided the state into 16 distinct geographic regions. This model lets teams play close to home giving their community and local government, businesses, and media easy access to events.
This approach also supports our sales model so that a single point of contact within a school district can be leveraged to grow a FIRST team at every level in the school district.
