SEPT. 12th FTC SEASON KICKOFF; SIGN-UP IS OPEN!<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

The 2026-27 FTC season BIOBUZZ kickoff is Sept. 12th!\u00a0 FIRST HQ broadcast will be 12pm (noon) featuring the reveal of the season\u2019s new game.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There will be a record 20 kickoff events in various locations around the state! All will feature a reveal of the BIOBUZZ playing field and include training and info sessions for teams.<\/p>\n

TO SIGN UP:\u00a0<\/b>Visit the\u00a0FiM FTC\u00a0EVENTS<\/b><\/a> site page for a list of area FTC kickoff events. Click on the event “Name” for the sign-up link. Sign-up is done directly with the event host and not with FIRST in Michigan FTC. Kickoff events are free of charge.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t quite have a team formed yet, coaches and\/or prospective coaches\/team members\/mentors are welcome to sign-up to attend an area kickoff event. It’s a great way to jumpstart the season and partake in in-person learning and networking opportunities!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While attending a kickoff event is optional, they are highly encouraged. Kickoff events offer workshops, info sessions, along with the \u201creveal\u201d of the BIOBUZZ official playing field! The BEST part? The opportunity to connect to your local FIRST community!!<\/p>\n

WEEK 0, FTC PREVIEW EVENT, OCT 4 in SALINE!<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

FIRST in Michigan FTC is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Week 0, FTC Preview Event of the BIOBUZZ game on Oct. 4th in Saline<\/strong>! FIRST HQ reached out to us with this request as an opportunity to shake down the game and see how rule adjustments play out in practice, giving them time to make any necessary changes before official events begin. HQ personnel will be on site, including a few Global Key Volunteers.<\/p>\n

For us, this is a great opportunity for teams (max 36) to gain early game-play experience, test new concepts and prototypes, and give team members valuable competition experience early in the season. Robots do not need to be 100% game ready – a rolling chassis and a spirit of adventure are all that is needed!<\/p>\n
