Participation in a 2nd event is optional for teams. The 2nd Round Event Registration form will close at 5pm on Tuesday, October 18.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>1st Round Event &#8211; If you see &#8220;No Form&#8221;<\/b>\u00a0(listed above)\u00a0<b>as your team&#8217;s confirmed<\/b>\u00a0<b>1st Round event:<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Then a\u00a01st Round Event Registration Form has not yet been received from\u00a0your team. Several events had limited open spots after Round 1 and filled quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>As teams earn States&#8217; advancement spots\u00a0at events with waitlists, I will reach out to those advancing teams to see if they are willing to relinquish their event spot to enable another team a 2nd play opportunity. There is no expectation that a team should relinquish their spot.<\/li>\n<li>If a spot opens up at an event with a waitlist, FiM FTC will offer the spot to the next team on the waitlist, in date\/timestamp order, for that event per the Round 2 form. The team will have 24 hours to decide whether to accept the spot or not.<\/li>\n<li>Note that waitlist placement is often &#8220;last minute&#8221; in nature. There is no way to know when\/if an event spot will open up at an event with a waitlist. Event hosts cannot add\/remove teams from events.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Once a team&#8217;s placement in an event is confirmed<\/strong>,\u00a0the team is expected to follow through with their participation at that event (1st, 2nd, or 3rd round) regardless if they earn an advancement spot from an earlier event. Form responses are date and time-stamped upon submission.<\/li>\n<li>A team&#8217;s 1st\/2nd round qualifier could chronologically occur after their 3rd round qualifier.<\/li>\n<li>3rd Round event registration forms are processed in a first come-first served order with event placement limited by event capacity.<\/li>\n<li>For multiple teams out of the same school\/org.: There is no guarantee that multiple teams out of the same school\/org. will be able to be placed in the same 2nd\/3rd round event due to capacity constraints at events.<\/li>\n<li>A quick submission is recommended. Do not forget to click the &#8220;Submit&#8221; button at the end of the form.<\/li>\n<li>Teams that want to increase the likelihood of being placed in a 3rd event are encouraged to provide as many ranked event preferences as possible.<\/li>\n<li><b>If the team provides a limited number of ranked event preferences, and those preferences are at capacity when the team&#8217;s form is processed (date\/timestamp order), the team will be WAITLISTED and WILL NOT BE PLACED in a 3rd round event.<\/b>\u00a0There is no guarantee that a team will get into a waitlisted event.<\/li>\n<li>When a listed 3rd round event reaches capacity, a WAITLIST tag will be added to the event name. This does not happen automatically so there could be a lag. The team can still earn awards at the subsequent events.<\/li>\n<li>Note that teams can only earn the Inspire Award once at a given competition level (for example, qualifier\/league tournament level). All States&#8217; advancing teams are eligible for the Inspire Award at their respective States&#8217; event as States&#8217; is the next level of competition.<\/li>\n<li>If a team has a strong preference for attending a particular State Championship event, the team should choose to participate in qualifying events that advance to that preferred State Championship event.
