(Some of you may already be finished playing both your events.)<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>ROOKIE ALL-STAR AWARD WINNERS<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Any team that wins the Rookie All-Star Award at a district event is eligible to come to States,\u00a0<b>FREE OF CHARGE<\/b>, to interview for the Rookie\u00a0All Star Award at the State Level. Winning the Rookie All Star Award at a District Event does not qualify your\u00a0team for a robot spot at the State Championship.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Teams coming to interview for the\u00a0Rookie All Star Award should expect to get an interview time on Friday (changed from Thursday.) The Judge will email you on the Wed before the State Championship to tell you your interview time.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Two rookie teams will win the Rookie All-Star Award at States. Both winners will automatically qualify for a\u00a0spot\u00a0<b>WITH THEIR ROBOT<\/b>\u00a0at the Championship in Houston where the registration is $5,750<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>EARNING A ROBOT SPOT AT STATES<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Teams earn a robot spot at States based solely on their ranking which comes from the points earned at their two events. The point cutoff is usually in the 60&#8217;s.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We run 4 fields\u00a0of 40 teams each at states (160 teams total) with only the Impact Award winners earning an automatic spot with their robot.\u00a0 The teams qualifying for States will\u00a0be notified Saturday night (or early Easter Sunday) following the close of our last district event.\u00a0 The state championship registration fee is $4,000. If you think you will qualify looking at your points, work with your district now to get the money set. The turnaround time is insanely short. There won&#8217;t be time to get a PO.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I hope you all are having a blast this season and that our Step-by- Step Kitbot videos were useful.
